My Approach & Values

Psychotherapy also called talk therapy is a space in which clients can explore their moods and behaviour in a safe space. An important part of therapy is the establishment of the therapeutic relationship between therapist and client. A core value of mine is to ensure that each client feels comfortable and safe so they can feel ready to look at the issues which are causing distress, sometimes, the reason for the distress is unknown and the building of trust allows me as a therapist to ask the questions which may uncover the root of the problem.

My educational background is an Honours Degree in integrated counselling and psychotherapy. This means that I have been trained in several ways of working therapeutically, including CBT, person-centred, pluralism and a humanistic approach. I am able to integrate and adapt elements of these ways of working and create a unique therapy experience for each client. Each person in this world is unique and I believe that each client attending Red Door Therapy deserves a unique therapy experience.
